Fine Arts
Art
At Hill School every student from grades 2-8 participates in the Art program. High School students take art as fine arts elective. This program is
designed to allow the students the freedom to use their creativity, while exercising the use of problem-solving skills. Various projects are utilized
ranging from simple drawing skills to more complex art forms such as creations on the potter's wheel and mosaic tile designs.
All students exhibit their work throughout the school in our own Creative Arts Festival, highlighting the successes of every student in the school,
and giving them the opportunity to experience pride in them.
Students are given the opportunity to experience an atmosphere that requires discipline in a loosely structured environment. This balance proves a
very beneficial learning experience for our special student population.
Music
Students in grades 2-8 participate in music classes on a weekly basis. They experience music, movement, and the use of musical instruments during
these classes.
Drama
The Hill School Drama Team provides students the opportunity to work onstage or backstage in one-act plays and full-length theatrical productions each school year.
The Drama Team is an extension of Hill School and fully supports Hill School's philosophy of respect and responsibility by helping students build
self-esteem and self-discipline and enhance social skills.
