The Annual Giving Fund provides support for programming at Hill and helps the school offer financial assistance to families in need. It is funded by generous gifts from within the Hill School community: teachers, parents, and the board. Our families kick off the campaign in the fall with more than participation rates of greater than 90% during the past several years. This remarkable commitment beyond the cost of tuition demonstrates the value of Hill programming to families and helps the schol seek funding from the community, corporations, and foundations. Together, these supporters help Hill support families in need of financial aid for tuition and enhance programming, curriculum, enrichment, student activities, technology integration, professional development for faculty, events, publications, clubs, summer school programming, speaker series. Your gift to annual giving has a direct impact on our students and teachers today.
Major gifts are the financial backbone of a successful advancement effort—allowing the program to grow in leaps and bounds. While unrestricted gifts provide Hill School with the flexibility to address the school’s most pressing demands, donors also have the option of restricting their gifts to particular projects in which they have a special interest. Major gifts are coordinated with Hill School’s strategic plan and in special instances, such as a capital campaign, can offer naming opportunities to donors. Several recent major gifts provided funds for campus renovations and updates. Many thanks to foundations in the Fort Worth community, generous alumni families, and our Hill Parent Association (HPA) for funding these initiatives.
A Hill School education changes lives–for students and their families. Your gift helps to make that change possible, today and in the future. Planned giving allows you to support Hill School in the future, while not affecting your finances today. Planned giving sustains the promise of a Hill School education for children with learning differences tomorrow and beyond. There are several ways that you can contribute, including trusts and bequests. Please contact our Director of Development, Susan Little to learn more about planned giving.
The Hill School Foundation is an endowment fund established to provide a lasting legacy for donors with the purpose of securing the future of tomorrow’s Hill School students.
Your gift to the Foundation is invested for long-term growth and carefully managed to preserve capital. The Foundation’s sole purpose is to provide long-term funding support and preserve Hill School’s special mission in the community. Contributions to our endowment are invested to generate earnings and once the principal reaches a milestone market value, a portion of the earnings will be used to support Hill School’s annual operating budget. Earnings in excess of the distribution amount will be retained in the endowment fund and reinvested, allowing the principal to grow.
Your financial support of The Hill School Foundation will help to ensure the long-term stability of Hill School for future students.
Preston Zavala attended Hill School of Fort Worth for seven years and he graduated with the Class of 2010. Preston was a vibrant young man, passionate about school, his friends, and athletics. The Hill School community still grieves his passing. Preston’s family generously named Hill School as a recipient for memorial gifts.
Established in the fall of 2013, this memorial fund continues to grow. Donations to the Preston Zavala Memorial Fund support Hill School students who contribute to the campus community through their dedication to athletics, fine arts, or community service. Each year, the administrative team selects two returning Hill School students a recipients of this scholarship.
