Hill School of Fort Worth Teacher Receives “Hero Award”
Kauffman named most outstanding special education specialist in North Texas
Fort Worth, Texas (November 9, 2006) Theresa Kauffman has been selected as the most outstanding special education specialist in North Texas. She currently serves as the assistant head of school at Hill School of Fort Worth, a private school for children who learn differently. She has been a part of Hill School for the past eight years and in addition to her administrative duties, she also teaches government to the high school seniors.
Kauffman is known for her compassion in the classroom and is already a hero to her students and their parents at Hill School. In addition to her award, Frank Kent Hummer will present Mrs. Kauffman a $1,000 honorarium and the use of a Hummer automobile in appreciation for her outstanding contributions to the community.
She will receive her award on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 before the 7:00 p.m. performance of the Shrine Circus at Fort Worth’s Will Rogers Coliseum.
