Hill School Hires Director of Development & Advancement
Jordan brings years of non-profit experience to the school
Fort Worth, Texas—Hill School, an innovative non-profit leader in educating students with learning differences, announced that William Jordan has joined the administration in the newly created role of director of development and school advancement.
In his new position, Jordan will be responsible for developing resources; implementing fundraising plans and grant development; and seeking gifts from foundations, corporations and individuals to enrich the learning environments at the Hill School campuses in Fort Worth and Grapevine.
Jordan brings years of experience in the non-profit and educational arena, most recently as the executive director of the Youth Orchestra of Greater Fort Worth. In this role he oversaw the activities of six performing ensembles and coordinated efforts with the board of directors, conductors and staff. He was responsible for all facets of operations including development and donor relations, budget and finance, programming, event planning and coordination, and facilities management.
Jordan also has experience in fundraising and development with the Fort Worth Opera and the recent capital campaign for the new Fort Worth Museum of Science and History complex. He also served as the director of music and humanities at St. John's Episcopal School in Dallas, Texas, where he acted as liaison with leading music organizations such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Bach Society and the Dallas Wind Symphony.
Jordan holds a master of education degree from Towson University in Maryland, and a bachelor's degree in piano performance from TCU.
