Fifty Students to Represent Members of United Nations, Teach Peers of Diversity, Culture, Global Community
Hill School Fort Worth students to participate in United Nations Day with parade, presentations and cultural sharing.
Hill School Fort Worth students in second through sixth grades will represent 50 member nations on Friday, Oct. 16, during the school's celebration of United Nations Day. Students will present a slideshow of their representative countries during an assembly and don traditional garb during this day of cultural learning. This is the 15th year that Hill School has participated in UN Day, which is officially Oct. 24.
9:30 to Noon Friday, Oct. 16, 2009

10 to 11 a.m. Student presentation
11 a.m. to Noon International lunch

Hill School, a non-profit private school for students who learn differently, participates in UN Day to offer students an opportunity to learn about geography, different cultures and their role in changing the world. Students will get to experience different cultures through the Parade of Nations and sample the foods of the countries during the international lunch, in which parents and visitors are welcome to partake.
