Thank you for your Support!

Since its founding in 1973, the support of the greater Fort Worth community has allowed Hill School to provide a superior educational environment for students who learn differently and who are of average or above-average intelligence. Learning differences cause challenges that often act as roadblocks to learning in traditional school settings, and require the specialized academic offerings at Hill School. However, our smaller class sizes and intensive educational setting requires greater resources than can be provided through tuition alone.

The need for Hill School's expertise continues to grow, both for our students and the community at large. With the ability to diagnose learning differences at an earlier age, enhanced diagnostic tools, increased research and increasingly effective teaching practices, Hill School anticipates that its student population will continue to increase. Hill School staff are also a resource -- providing training and sharing their knowledge through leadership in local and national organizations.

Assuring a strong financial footing for the school's future is a key goal of the Board of Trustees who have initiated a strategic plan to meet the school's expanding needs over the next ten years. Funds for increased scholarships, teacher benefits, and facility maintenance are necessary for school growth. The Board of Trustees hopes to lessen the financial burden on families, through increased endowment funding for operating and scholarships.

Technological advances continually create new and better ways for teachers to bring the world into the classroom and enhance the learning environment. Wireless technology, a paperless environment, and methods of instant communication are becoming increasingly available to allow students to broaden and deepen their learning experience. These innovations in learning are especially important for students with learning differences, and the Hill School Technology Initiative will move toward a 1:1 computer environment to provide maximum benefit to each student.
