Jeff Nichols
American Sign Language Teacher
Jeff Nichols joined the Hill School faculty in 2024 as our American Sign Language teacher. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from The University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. With a strong background in ASL, including extensive coursework and experience as a certified ASL teacher and interpreter, Mr. Nichols has taught in a variety of settings both domestically and internationally. His teaching experience spans countries such as Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, China, Taiwan, Haiti, and Guatemala, where he has witnessed the powerful role of sign language in bridging communication gaps. Outside of school, Mr. Nichols enjoys spending time with his wife, their four children, and seven grandchildren.
