Mission Minded

We exist to provide supportive educational services in a safe and student-centered environment for bright, motivated students who learn differently. We accomplish this by fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect among students and staff, while strengthening each student’s self-esteem and leading them toward their maximum potential. We promote the success of our students not only in the classroom, but beyond by equipping them with the skills and confidence to take their talents to the world around them.

In The Classroom

Walking through the hallways of Hill School you will see the appearance of a traditional learning environment: student artwork on display, lockers slamming between classes, and squeaking shoes in the gym.

Step inside a classroom and you will see the Hill School difference: low student-to-teacher ratios, intentional faculty, and students actively engaged in their lessons.

Quality Programming

An integrated self-discipline program, with an emphasis on building healthy self-esteem, permeates our school’s academic programming. With our accreditation through AdvancED/Cognia the Hill School curriculum provides quality, reputable programming in all academic areas with a consideration of specific student needs in Reading, English, Written Expression, and Mathematics.

Engaging our students with the digital world is a top priority, and with a true 1:1 learning environment for students in grades K-12, our students are able to enjoy a multi-faceted learning experience.

Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) Accredited Partner

As an IMSE Accredited Partner, Hill School has demonstrated our dedication to excellence in literacy education. This designation means we have a certified Level 4 Master Instructor on site who is instrumental in the following ways:

  • Training Staff: Our educators receive specialized training in IMSE’s Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus course and/or IMSE’s Morphology Plus course. This ensures they are equipped with the best practices for teaching reading and language skills effectively.
  • Consultation and Mentoring: Our Level 4 Master Instructor provides ongoing support, mentoring, and supervision to our teaching staff. This collaboration enhances our team’s ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction.
  • Commitment to Success: By committing to this level of training and support, we aim to provide our students with the highest chance of success in literacy.
