in the classroom

We exist to provide progressive educational services in a safe and student-centered environment for bright, motivated students who learn differently. We accomplish this by fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect among students and staff, while strengthening each student’s self-esteem and leading them toward their maximum potential. We ensure the success of our students not only in the classroom, but beyond by equipping them with the skills and confidence to take their talents to the world around them.

small class size

With class sizes ranging from 2 to 12 students and an overall student to teacher ratio of 7:1, our teachers are able to genuinely connect with their students both academically and personally, while maintaining a setting for peer collaboration and social learning. An emphasis on building healthy self-esteem and an integrated self-discipline program permeates the school’s academic programming.

technology focused

Engaging our students with the digital world is a top priority, and with a true 1:1 learning environment for students in grades K-12, our students are able to enjoy a multi-faceted learning experience.

Summer Fun

Grades K-5 in the Fall of 2019
June 3 – 28, 2019

The morning class schedule is 8:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., and will allow students to work in ability-grouped sessions. Time will be spent in center time, one-on-one direct instruction, independent practice, group instruction and practice, songs and fluency drills.

Our teachers will use the Orton Gillingham (OG) curriculum and instruction materials for work on reading skills with a take-home packet for families to use after our program is finished –to keep the content fresh. Teachers will also use TimeWarp Plus, a summer reading intervention system for struggling readers that promotes results-driven, hands-on learning with rigorous content, and Vmath Summer Adventure, a research-based math intervention program that provides targeted instruction and practice on essential concepts and skills.

The afternoon sessions, designed to be fun and interactive, are 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and each week follows a particular theme:
